Back to school!

My manicure back on the first day of school.
What I did was put on China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald and matte-ify it as a green chalkboard, use China Glaze Stone Cold for the grey chalkboard, and Wet n Wild French White for the white, and azure and pink nail art pens.  And I used a white on to write 2014 on my thumbs.  Everything I matte-d.

Happy schooling,
Em

China Glaze Ahoy! Again

Pink again...?  Haha.  I know I"ve been a terrible blogger lately but I've been terribly busy.  Like I just got home from band camp late last night so I'm going back to normal routine.

Ohhh the break on my ring finger.....

Pink with gold shimmer.  These were from when my nails were long.  Band camp murdered them and they are epically short.  AKA I am PISSED.  I liked them this length, well except for them ripping my contact and such.  It was like having a handheld weapon that will never go away!  (except that they did haha)  I've been de-clawed...

Happy shimmering,
Em

China Glaze Atlantis- Reswatch

Hello readers!!  Before I forget to mention this, I will give you a fair warning: THIS POST CONTAINS NUBBINS AND A TON OF PICTURES.  There, I warned you. :)
Well, we all know about my obsession with China Glaze Atlantis.  Like, I love it.  A lot.  It is one of my favorite polishes of all time (umm, check that top 10 list of mine!).  Let us commence with the load of pictures!

Odd angle?  Lol

Atlantis is a teal/blue/green/turquoise/idk color.  Yes, I actually have NO IDEA what color to call the base...  But whatever it is, it is semi-opaque (not really a jelly base) and has holographic glitter scattered in it.  This holographic glitter gives it that rainbow effect that we all love in our polishes.  It is Ah-Mah-Zing.  Legit.
I love love love putting this on and I owe my best friend for getting this for me.  She gave it to me the day the obsession started; the day before my first post ever!!  So, yeah.  It has a special place in my heart :D.

Happy describing,
Em

China Glaze Ulta-mate Holiday

Okay, this mani was from a WHIIIIIIIILE ago (pictures taken on April 19th to be exact) and I've wanted to share this with you guys since like mid-winter.  But it doesn't look too great on my little nubbins.

So enjoy this mini golden-holo goodness!!

Happy holoing,
Em

Josh's Graduation!

Hey guys!  Again, sorry about the lack of posting, things have been very crazy lately...
But my brother graduated last month (2 years older than I) and I did this manicure to represent our high school colors, navy and white.  I'm very big in school pride so I mix these a lot...

The blue is China Glaze First Mate and the White is Wet n Wild French White.  Looking at these nails these days it's like OMG nubbins!!  So yeah mine right now are much longerrrr.  Not like very long just longer than I am used to.
I cried at graduation.  This is my sibling that is closest in age to me and therefore he was my buddy and I love him <3.

Happy graduation,
Em

Fourth of July Manicure!

Happy late American Independence Day!   Here is my manicure in all it's gore.  I used the plastic bag method to do this which I am way too lazy to explain.  I did it for the stripes.

The base color is OPI Swimsuit... Nailed It! and I used Wet n Wild French White and China Glaze Hey Sailor for the stripes.
I am very very lazy today so thats just about it!  And just FYI, I hate hate hate how this turned out...

Happy celebrating,
Em

Wet n Wild Black Creme with China Glaze Luxe and Lush

Hello everyone!  I know that I have been a bad bad blogger lately.  But as you can tell:  it's June.  For me that means mega end-of-year prep, work starting up, and temperatures rising.  Things get complicated in June, October, and January, so one must expect me to be more than slightly MIA at these times.  I promise that within the next three weeks, things on here should be back to normal (-ish).  In the mean time, please enjoy this post!
So after my recent obsession with the Hunger Games trilogy, I decided to crack out Luxe and Lush (District 1, where I would belong).  I saw it matte somewhere over a black and decided to try it myself.  Very happy with the results!  "And may the odds be ever in your favor!"

Without matte top coat I believe
Same as above

I believe the only matte picture is the first one.

Happy obsessing,
Em

Wet n Wild Black Creme with China Glaze Fairy Dust

I have already given you this general combo heree but I think that it looks better now, because I got it in natural sunlight.  As I am writing this (April 14th), it is soo warm and will only get warmer :).

Looks like stars in the night sky...
There's the holo!
Shade
Blurred.
I used a different black (I have been using my Wet n Wilds waaaayyy too much lately) but I still got the same result.  Beautiful application by the Wet n Wild, a little gloppy for the China Glaze one.  Im surprised...
2 coats of black, 1 coat of glitter.  My usual base + top coats.  LOVE IT.

Happy glittering,
Em

China Glaze Ahoy! with China Glaze White Cap

Back in February (oh god...) when I still had Ahoy! on, I said that I might try to put White Cap over it.  Well... I did.  And here is the accented result.
Ta-da!
Not my best choice but it looked pretty cool.
I still like both polishes but not really together, lol.  Back to the drawing board!

Happy layering,
Em

The Evolution of the St. Patrick's Day Mani

So we remember this?  From St. Patrick's Day.  Well as you can tell, this is the evolution of it.
Original
Result.  Emerald Fitzgerald looks almost black here!
Awk angle, sorry, lol.
Before being matted

Now for the normal pictures!
:)

I love matte glitter!
So one coat of China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald, one coat of Love & Beauty Green/Clear Glitter, and then a matte top coat.  I love love this!  I definitely need to use glitter and matte top coat more often!  Agreed?

Happy matting,
Em
